We were having a hard time finding this plant locally. We needed to fill a bare spot in our hedge. I resorted to searching the internet when I happened upon the Wilson website. After reading many positive reviews, I decided to order. The plant was in fabulous condition and nearly 2 feet tall. Since arrival, it has sprouted many new leaves and future branches. We transferred to a larger pot and plan to add to the hedge in March. Bought 15 one gallon plants. They arrived very quickly and professionally packaged. The plants were in perfect condition, healthy and beautiful. The pot is moist and the plants are arranged nicely in the box and are protected to endure the shipping process. Was very amazed when I pulled them from the box that they were taller than my door handle ?? and I thought to myself “what if I had got the three gallon size?” lol They are super great quality, free shipping and HEALTHY!!
I live at 6500’ elevation but it’s still AZ, hot and dry during the summers. All the plants, every single one is getting established and looks amazing.
The deer, elk and rabbits have not tangled or chewed on them at all. The plants are thriving, growing and haven’t seemed to go through any stress.
We spaced them three feet apart to make a privacy screen.

This Silverberry came very well packaged and absolutely gorgeous. The new leaves come out a beautiful silver-green, It is almost as though someone shot it with a light spray of silver paint. The silver in the leaves almost shines like metallic paint. It arrived almost 3 feet tall, in the one gallon pot. So I can only imagine that a 3 gal pot would really be huge. The Elaeagnus ‘Silverthorn’ I received was in great shape and seems very vigorous. Its foliage is about three times taller than the 3-gallon pot, so I’m anxious to get it into the ground as soon as our weather is safe for a new transplant. The silvery undersides of the leaves is a real eye-catcher, brightening up a room when the lights are off!
